FIELD GUNS ISSUED
HOME GUARD ARTILLERY (P.A.) WELLINGTON, this day. During the past few weeks Home Guard artillery units recently formed throughout the Dominion have been issued with field guns, and this new branch of Home Guard training is now well under way. With the great influx of war material into New Zealand during recent months the requirements of the Territorial forces have now been met, and for this reason it has been possible to equip Home Guard units. Home Guardsmen selected for this duty are taking a keen interest in their training, and will considerably strengthen the potential fighting effectiveness of the Home Guard.
