PROGRESS AT OTAHUHU
XBW OFFICERS FOR R.S.A. The annual report submitted to the general meeting of members by the president, Mr. H. P. Lovall, showed an addition of 50 members to the strength of Otahuhu R.S.A. during the year just ended. There were now 280 members. Mr. Lovall, whose term of office terminated owing to military duties, referred to the establishment of new club rooms with facilities for entertainment and amusement in the shape of -piano and billiard tables, and also spoke of the valued help received from the patriotic committee. Members of the Second N.Z.E.F. were joining the R.S.A. in encouraging numbers and it was pleasing, he commented, to have two of the new Diggers, Messrs. L. Sharp and S. A. Fisher on the executive, and a third, Mr. Graham, on the social committee. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—President, Mr. C. L. Podmore; vice-presidents, Messrs. O. R. Montomery (Otahuhu) and L. Ewan (Papaioetoe); executive, Messrs. W. J. Bright, S. W. E. Lovatt, H. Dickie, S. A. Fisher, L. Sharp and L. W. Lovett; secretary, Mr. H. Fricker; treasurer, Mr. J. Tester; investigation officers, Rev. P. I. Cooke and Messrs. W. Cowper and L. W. Lovett. Mr. Podmore was elected delegate to the annual conference of the X.Z.R.S.A.
