HONEY CONTROL BOARD
REPRESENTATION QUESTION (P.A.) CHRISTCHURCH, Thursday. More democratic representation on the Honey Control Board is wanted by beekeepers in terms of a resolution passed to-day at a convention called by the Canterbury Beekeepers' Association. The full text of the resolution passed is at follows:—"This meeting is of opinion that, owing to Mr. W. W. Nelson being a Government nominee on the Honey Control Board, he does not fairly represent the industry as a whole and we request that more democratic representation be given to beekeepers."
"Resolutions of no confidence in Mr. Nelson will make no difference to the Government, which has conscripted Mr. Nelson for the duration of the war to advise it on honey." said Mr. E. A. Field (Foxton), president of the National Beekeepers' Association.
