Outings are arranged for visiting seamen in an attempt to make interesting the time spent in port. Suppers, teas, and social functions are held. Reading matter is provided, both at the institution and on board ship. The committee has also collected gramophones and records for use at sea. In the new building, which will require no alteration; there will be a large social room, lounges, a chapel and offices.
