AUCKLANDER IX ICELAND N.Z.P.A. Special Correspondent Reed. 1.30 p.m. LONDON. May 7. Flight-Lieutenant Alan George. D.F.C., D.F.M., of Hawera, has passed a Royal Air Force staff college course. Sub-Lieutenant Peter Picot, of Wellington, has returned to England after a year in Trincomalee. the naval base in Ceylon, with the Fleet Air Arm. He saw the Japanese raid the port and patrolled over the Indian Ocean and also over India. Sub-Lieutenant H. E. Duffy, or Auckland, has been flying Seafires in Iceland and the North Atlantic area. He took part in operations at Oran.
