CANADIANS' INACTION

COMMENT BY POLITICIAN Rec. 10.30 a.m. OTTAWA, May 7. Replying to criticism by Mr. R. D. Hanson, the New Brunswick Progressive Conservative, the Air Minister, Mr. C. G. Power, told the House of Commons that the Canadian military forces had remained in Britain as the result of a decision by the British High Command. "I am glad of the assurance," replied Mr. Hanson. "I don't pretend to allot responsibility, but the fact remains that the Canadian Army hasn't seen action. It isn't very pleasant for our men overseas to have it thrown in their faces that while the New Zealanders and Australians are fighting gallantly on the sands of Africa the Canadians are not there."
