Nazis Raid A Town In East Anglia KBNNINGTON OVAL DAMAGE Rec. 11 a.m. LONDON, May 7. At least ten people were killed as the result of a raid by four German planes on a town in East Anglia at Sawn to-day. In an attack lasting only a few seconds four \ ocke-Wult fighter-bombers dropped bombs at random from rooftop height. Six houses, a first-aid pest, a large shop and an hotel were destroyed and a hospital was damaged. It is revealed that bomb damage to the Oval, the famous cricket ground at Kennington, London, Imounts to at least £10,000. The famous square in the centre playing area where Len Hutton made his record Test score is in gocd order, but large areas of turf in other parts have been destroyed.
