CITY POULTRY MARKET
At yesterday's auctions the supply of poultry was small and the demand was fair. The prices paid remain the same. Selling rates were:— Cockerels, heavy breeds, prime. 8/ to 12/6 each; not prime. 5/ to II; light breeds, prime, 7/ to 8/; not prime, 3/ to 5/; hens, heavy breeds. 6/ to 7/6; light breeds, 3/6 to 4/6; pullets, heavy breeds, best, 8/ to 12/; smaller, 4/ up; light breeds, best, 4/ to 8/; smaller, 3/ up; drakes, young, prime, 3/ to 4/i smaller, 2/6 up; ducks, hens,'B/ to 13/'; gobblers, 15/' to 25/.'
