Assets.—Government debt, £11,000,000; other Government securities, £988,100,000; other securities, £9,000,000; fiduciary issue, £1,000,000,000; gold coin and bullion, £200,000. Banking Department Liabilities.—Capital, £14,500,000; rest, £3,200,000; public deposits, £3,700,000; bankers' deposits, £162,100,000; other accounts, £52,700,000. Assets. —Government securities, £162,900,000; advances, etc., £5,200,000; other securities, £20,900,000; notes and coin, £47,200,000. Proportion of reserve to liabilities, 21.59 per cent (last week, 20.63 per cent); discount rate, 2 per cent, unchanged.
