PROVED WINTER CANDIDATE
Since his impressive victory m the Foley Memorial Handicap last weeK British Mint has been eased up a bit in his work. It is unlikely that the son of British King and Whirlmint will l ace again until the Auckland winter meeting, to be held next month. - J. Grayden has never had British Mint better than at present, and, being a proved galloper under winter conditions, more money looks assured foi the cnest nut gelding.
