TWO MEN FINED

PLAYED CROWN AND ANCHOR

A charge of playing a game of chance, crown and anchor, on the Central wharf, was denied by two men. Percy Underwood and Albert W. Gauntlet, when they appeared on summons, before Mr. J. H. Luxford, S.M.. in the Police Court to-day.

After hearing the evidence of Sergeant J. Southworth and that of each defendant, the magistrate fined Gauntlet £3, and Underwood £2 10/.
