RIGHT-HAND RULE

COURT'S INTERPRETATION CONSIDERATION OF EFFECT (P A.) WELLINGTON .Thursday. Further consideration is to be given to the effect of the Full Court s decision which interpreted the light hand traffic rule. This was announced by the Min ister of Transport, Mr. O Brien today. He said that, in brief, the Court's interpretation meant that the right hand rule applied m favour of the motorist who was turning, as will as to the one who was Droceeding straight ahead. Steps had been taken by his Department to investigate the effect of the decision on road safety, and, as soon af reports on the position came to hand the whole matter would be considered from the point of view of road safety.
