IP IT WERE ABANDONED Rec. 9.30 a.m. BOSTON, May "If Eire abandoned her neutrality' it would mean the destruction of the. Irish race," said Mr. Robert Brennan/'- - Irish Minister in the United States,-., v speaking to journalists. He added: "I can think of no price we could. receive which would compensate us for going into war. We have in our hands now the power to remedy everything except the partition." Mr. Brennan denied that Eire was neutral because she hated Britain. When asked what Eire would do if attacked by Germany, he replied: "We would put up the hell of a fight." To a query whether he thought the Allies would come to the aid of Ireland if she were attacked, he replied: "Naturally. It would be in their own interest to do so. When asked if Eire expected anything at the pi\ce table, he replied. "Oh, yes, we fxpect a just peace which will benefit the entire world. Mr. Brennan aeknowleded that if Britain were defeated Irish economy worse.
