PETROL ALLOWANCE

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. The New Zealand Returned Services Association has made representations to the Dominion Fuel Controller, asking that men of the Merchant Navy should receive the special allowance of petrol granted to servicemen who have returned from overseas. The association has been advised that the matter is receiving consideration, and that arrangements will be made as soon as a satisfactory scheme of recording has been worked out.
