CAR STRIKES POLE

MAN AND WIFE INJURED

A man and his wife were injured about 1.45 this morning when the car in which they were travelling along Remuera Road struck the pole between the tram lines near Market Road. They were Mr. John Donnelly, aged 47, of 352, Manukau Road, Epsom, who suffered concussion, and Mrs. Ada Donnelly, who received concussion, lacerations and a possible fracture of the jaw. Both were taken to the Auckland Hospital by St. John ambulance. Mr. Donnelly's condition was fair to-day and ,that of his wife satisfactory. The car was extensively damaged.
