INDOOR BOWLING
The Auckland Interhouse Indoor Bowling Association's first aggregate Jours tourney was held in the Transport Hall, Symonds Street. Prior to the commencement of'play the president, Mr. T. A. Goulding, welcomed the newly affiliated houses. Mason Bros., Ltd., Paramount Bedding Company, C. de Berg, C. T. Neary, Merle Shoe Company, A. Whowell, Banks Box Co. In the final Auckland Service Prlntery (Miss E. Bridgens, C. Corcoran. C. Sheridan, T. Simpson), beat J. B. O'Loghlen and Co. (Miss A.Bridgens, J. Smith, H. Charles, W. McAneaney). Other results: Marsden and Co. (Kennedy), Auckland Star, Transport (Venville), Transport (Low), New Zealand Breweries, each two wins; Power Board (Bagnall), Power Board (Lymburn), Paramount Bedding Co., Sunshine Products, C. T. Neary, each one win; Geo. Walker, Marsden and Co. (Aldred). each three losses. Tho Orange Club defended the Hallworth Shield for the first time this season. The challenger (Dunnottar) was not' successful, winning only three games of the nine played. The evening's tourney was won by A. Saunders, Mrs. Skelton, Mrs. MeCowatt, W. Venville, who, in the final, defeated Mrs. Bobbins, Mrs. Maddren, J. Reynolds and A. Thomas.
