Dr. J. Hardie Neil and Dr. E. J. O'Neill have returned from Dunedin. Mr. G. E. Stokes has been appointed chief sanitary inspector for the Dunedin City Council. Mr. S. J. Harbutt, chairman of the Auckland Electric Power Board, left for Christchurch by air yesterday;Sir John Madsen, professor of engineering at Sydney University, is visiting New Zealand. He will spend some time at Canterbury College. Dr. Charles Burns, of Wellington, has been elected a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, London. He was formerly chief of the division of medicine at the Auckland Hospital.
