Made Supreme Sacrifice

Sergeant John Fraser King, of Otahuhu, who has been killed in action, is survived by his wife, daughter and three sons. He served in the Great War and on his return to New Zealand farmed in the Puni soldiers' settlement, later joining the staff of a local fertiliser manufacturing firm. He enlisted with the Third Echelon.

Flight-Sergeant John Reddell Jerrat, elder son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Jerrat, of Pukenui Road. Epsom, who died as the result of injuries received in an aircraft accident in the Pacific. Born at Auckland 24 years ago, Flight-Lieutenant Jerrat was educated at the Auckland Grammar School and was a member of the Maungakiekie Golf Club.
