PIPELINE GIVES RELIEF

KAITAIA WATER SHORTAGE (0.C.) KAITAIA, Friday.

Increasing the present inflow by 5000 gallons an hour, an increase of 45 per cent, the installation of an auxiliary water pipe has ended the water shortage at Kaitaia. The installation is of a temporary nature until suitable materials are available. Bullocks were used for transporting the piping, which was manhandled on the last stage through precipitous bush-clad country to the top of the Okahu Falls.
