SOLDIER COMMISSIONED

The only son of Mrs. W. G. Gladling, of 14, Belvedere Road, Epsom, Stanley L. Baker, has received his commission overseas. An old boy of the Mount, Albert Grammar School, Second-Lieutenant Baker enlisted at the outbreak of war and served through the Greek and Libyan campaigns, being promoted to warrant-officer. He recently rejoined his regiment after three months in hospital recovering from wounds.
