SERVICE INCREASE
ON TWO TRAM ROUTES
TRANSPORT BOARD'S DECISION
On (he recommendation of the engineer-manager, Mr. A. E. Ford, the Auckland Transport Board to-day decided to increase the tramway service on two routes. On the Great South Road-Owairaka route a tenminute headway Instead of the present eleven-minute headway will be run. and on the Point Chevalier route the service will be an eight-minute one instead of a ten-minute one.
Mr. Ford said the increased service on the two routes would cost the board £13,923 per annum. The net increase in wages would be £10,868.
