TARANAKI EGGS
AUCKLAND MARKET FAVOURED Complaints concerning the handling of? eggs sent to the distributing floor at Wellington were ventilated at a meeting of Stratford producers recently. Concern was felt that producers might not be able to send their eggs to Auckland, as was the present practice, if an egg floor were established under the marketing regulations. but the fear was dispelled by the receipt of information from the Minister of Primary Production for War Purposes. Mr. Poison, indicating that eggs could be sent to whichever centre was now being supplied.
Two-thirds of the surplus in Taranaki went to Auckland, it was stated, where much sounder crates were supplied than from Wellington.
