FIRE BRIGADE OFFICERS
A new award for Auckland and Wellington fire brigades officers, recently issued by tne Arbitration Court, makes no increase in the pay, ranging from £6 8/ to £7 9/, but prescribes a special bonus of 5/ a week in consideration of the extra war duties. The bonus is for the duration of ths war, or for the twoyear term of the award, whichever is the lesser period.
