ONEHUNGA COUNCIL

The monthly meeting of the council was presided over by the Mayor, Mr. J. Park.

Street Collection.—Permission was granted St. John Ambulance Association to hold a street collection on Friday, November 6.

Termite Inspection.—During the past 12 months 958 inspections have been made and infestation found in 104 cases.

Rate Collection. —The town clerk reported that the an&Gunt of £22,746 had been received up to the discount date. This represents 60 per cent of the total rates struck and is a record for theborough. The general account is in credit £7427.
