PAPAKURA BURGLARIES
NIGHT PATROIJ WANTED
My premises are almost opposite the Pnpakura Police Station and my safe was wheeled past their door on a hand truck to the school, two chains away from the police station," stated Mr. W. S. Mcllraith, whose store was recently broken into, in a letter read at the Papakura Bouough Council meeting last evening. Mr. Mcllraith stated that his loss was well over £200, and he considered that as Papakura had four regular police officers a night patrol from midnight to 5 a.m. was necessary to protect the community. The Mayor, Mr. S. Evans, said a police night patrol would be a check to burglary and crime in the district.
The council decided to send a deputation to interview Sergeant T H. Dyar.
