CHILDREN FIRST
The parents of the Titirangi sth.iol children are to be congratulated on the safe shelter they have built for their children. When protection from air raids was begun, if the first and safest shelters had been built for the children it would have been in keeping with the British tradition of "children first." The fact that ,-uch action was not taken must have been very disturbing for most people. It is believed that in some large schools there is no adequate protection for many of the pupils. An investigation of the precautions which have been taken and the remedy of any defects would help to raise the public confidence. MOTHER.
