CHRISTMAS MARRIAGES
TOTAL FOR YEAR DROPS.
While the Registry Office in Auckland has experienced the usual Christmas rush, the number of marriage licenses issued during the past year has not been so great as it was in 1940, which, owing to the war, was outstanding. Nevertheless there were ten more marriages in the office yesterday and to-day than there were during the same two days last year, when 12 took place. Up to the present, 2851 licenses for the year have been issued, as riages which took place in the office compared with 3657 last year. Marthis year totalled 662.
