Parcels Sent By Bed Cross Organisation BUSY SCEXE IN LOXDOX Rec. 1.30 p.m. LONDON, Dec. 23. Mr. W. J. Jordan and Mrs. Jordan attended a gathering at the New Zealand Red Cross packing centre. Dr. Ben Myers referred to the good work the centre was doing and proposed a toast to each New Zealand prisoner of war. He hoped that all would soon be able to return to their kith and kin. Mrs. Burke, who is in charge of the packing centre, said a next-of-kin parcel containing warm underclothing, toilet requisites and chocolate was sent to each New Zealand prisoner of war, and a further parcel would be sent to each man during jhe first quarter of the new year. Mr. W. J. Jordan saw the final of the New Zealand Forestry units inter-company football matches in which No. 15 Company defeated No. 14 Company by 9 points to 6. Mrs. Jordan congratulated the teams on their excellent p3ay and presented a silver cup donated by Spaldin* Brothers.
