CATHEDRAL WEDDING

HOGG—STRACHAN St. Mary's Cathedral was the setting for the wedding yesterday of Miss Patricia Doreen Strachan, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Strachan, of Manor Place, Dunedin, and Lieutenant-Colonel A. Lorimer Hogg, son of Mrs. A. J. Friedlander, of Parnell. Dean Fancourt performed the ceremony. The bridegroom has seen service with the 2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Force in the Middle East and Greece, and has since been appointed to the Military Staff College at Palmerston North. A beautiful gown of brocade made by Egyptian craftsmen was worn by the bride, who was given away by her father. A coronet of white flowers held her tulle veil in place. The best man was Leading-Air-craftman H. Gower, Royal New Zealand Air Force. A reclption was afterwards held at the home of the bridegroom's mother.
