HAURAKI BY-ELECTION

INDEPENDENT CANDIDATE.

As a i esult of a request bv a dep'itation of returned soldiers which recently waited upon him. Mr. H T Head of St. George's Bay Road, Parnell, has decided to contest the forthcoming Hauraki bv r -election as an 'Independent Returned Soldiers" candidate.

Mr. Head is one of four brothers who have served or are serving with a New Zealand Expetfitionarv i orce as volunteers. Mr. Head saw service in France when 17 years of age, and was invalided home suffering from the effects of gas. One brother. Gunner S. B. Head, was killed in action in Libya last month.
