HOLIDAY TRAVEL BAN

ROTORUA, Sunday.

On behalf of the Rotorua Private Hotel and Boardinghouse Keepers' Association representations have been made by the Mayor, Mr. H. D. Dansey. to the Government for a relaxation of the railway restrictions between Auckland and Rotorua. The following reply has been received from the Prime Minister, Mr. Fraser: " I have received your telegram and am arranging for the representations to receive the consideration of the War Cabinet, but I can hold out.small hope of relaxing the decision regarding railway travel as the country's safety comes first and the restrictions are necessary."
