CRASH INTO SEA
PILOT-OFFICER INJURED ACCIDENT IX DUNEDIN (P.A.) WELLINGTON, this day. A member of the R.N.Z.A.F., PilotOfficer Darcy Bertram" Christopher, was injured this morning when his aircraft crashed into the sea off St. Clair, Dunedin, during exercises. The pilot was rescued by a surfboat which put off from the shore immediately the accident occurred. He was admitted to hospital suffering from a lacerated face and bruises. The machine sank.
