ARREST OF CHINESE.
GREY'S AVENUE RAID. TWO REMANDED ON BAIL. I liable, to force apart heaxiiv barricaded windows, three detectives yesterday used crowbars to smash their way through front and back doors into Chinese premises in Grey s Avenue and execute, a search warrant. Of the eight Chinese present, two were arrested.
Late Yesterday afternoon thev appeared before justice.-;. at a special Court held at the Police Station, when All Jong was charged with lieim the occupier of the premises, and (.'in All On with having in his possession a quantity of prepared opium. Both were remanded to appear in the Polite Court next Tuesday. In each ea«e bail was allowed.
Jhe remaining six Chinese w ill appear late.r in the Police Court on summons.
