CLUBS AND SOCIETIES.
Cumberland and Westmorland Association.—An old-time Kaste-r Past-he egg competition was the feature of the social held by the association in the British, lesion rooms. Shortland Street. Mrs. Hutchings, the president, received the gue-sts. who included several visitors from the country. Items were contributed by Mrs. Dawson and Mr. Graveson. Winners of the Pasche eg? competition were Mesdames Greetilow and Broadbcnt and Miss Dohc-rty.
N.Z.D.X. Club. —Tlx- Auckland branch of the club held tb* opening dance of the season in the Carlton Ilall, Sandringham. The 150 gue«ts present enjoyed modern and old time dancing to music provided by a local orchestra.
Women's Progress Club.—Mi-s I. Rutherford, president, presided at the meeting, when Mr. T. W. Silcoek spoke 011 "This Unfolding World."' The soloist was Miss Betty Spiro and she was accompanied by Mrs. S. Clarkson.
