CROWNING CEREMONY.

CLIMAX OF QUEEN CARNIVAL.

Highlight of the lecently-concluded queen carnival will be the crowning ceremony, to be held in the Town Hall on Tuesday next, July 2, at 8 pan. The winner, the Queen of the South, Mrs-. Gordon Matthews, will be crowned amid ail the pomp and circumstance due to such an occasion, and tie spectacle should be one to be rememoered. It will be followed by a Coronation Ball.

Two "People's Nights" will follow on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, at eight o'clock, when the concert and coronation ceremony will be presented for the benefit of those who cannot see the main event on Tuesday. There *vill also be a. children's matinee performance of the ceremony on Saturday afternoon, July 6. Box plana for each day are now open at Lewis Eady, Ltd.. and those desirous of getting seats would be well advised to book early.
