FARMERS' UNIT.

DELEGATES TO 'WAR COUNCIL. (By Telegraph.Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. At a meeting of farmers held in Hamilton this week it was decided to send two delegates to Wellington to place before the War Council a scheme for the formation of a Waikato Country Mobile Defence Force, which has been approved in principle by the council. It was reported that Major-General Sir Andrew Russell, a member of the War Councih believed that the proposal had excellent possibilities.
