Bowls By Motor Light
Competitors and spectators had a most unusual experience yesterday afternoon, when the final of the Auckland Bowling Centre's executive fours took so long that motor cars were moved into a suitable position to illuminate the Carlton green, where the game was being played.
fortunately, the green used was the only one that could be thus treated, and naturally the last few ends had to be plaved in the same direction, south to north Neither side could be specially blamed for the delay, for both skips were incessantly driving, sending the jack out of bounds a dozen tunes, until finally Epsom defeated Mount Albeit. The filial of the intermediate fours had to be postponed until this afternoon Balmoral to meet St. Helier's. Owing to showers during the morning the second round did not start until 130 and resulted:—
