OFFICIAL OPENING.
NEW RECRUITING DEPOT. MINISTER WILL BE PRESENT. At noon to-morrow tlie recruiting station outside the Chief Post Ofßf® will be officially opened by the Hon. HCi. R. Mason, Minister of Justice and Attorney-General. The public is invited to attend. Tho band of the First Battalion, Auckland Regiment, will be at tn® centre, together with a detachment of three officers and 40 men of ths National Reserve. On arrival the Minuter will be received by civic authorities and members of the Auckland Metropolitan Patriotic Committee. Colonel N. W. MeD. Weir, officer commanding the Northern Military District, will be present. After the ceremony, at approximately 12.20, the band and Reserve detachment will march to the Town Hall, where, at 12.30, the weekly recruiting community sing will be held. Here Mr. Mason will also give an address.
