MINISTER INSPIRED BY ANZAC TROOPS.
MR. EDEN RETURNS. As Good As Their Fathers And Brothers. NO HIGHER PRAISE. United Press Association.—Copyr'.^hr. (Received 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, February 19. Mr. Anthony Eden has arrived back from his trip to Egypt to welcome the Anzacs. He said the journey was a most inspiring" one. His outstanding impressions were:— (1) The magnificent quality of the New Zealand and Australian troops. "It is evident they are going to be as good as their fathers and brothers were 25 years ago," he said. "I could give no higher praise." (2) The excellent effect throughout the Middle East of this further dramatic demonstration of Imperial unity. "New Zealand and Australia have spoken in a languag? that none will fail to understand," he said.
(3) The loyal co-ope nation of the Allies and the Egyptian Government and people, in accordance with the letter of the treaty between Britain and Egypt. Britain was most grateful for Egypt's help in the common cause.
