JUDGMENT ERROR.
BOMBER'S CRASH. LOST FLYING SPEED. HO DEFECT DT MACHOfc. (By Telegraph.—Pkm Association.) DU3TEDIX, this day. A statement regarding the finding c#f the court of inquiry into the accident to the Baffin bomber at Waimari Beach, when three members of the Royal Xew Zealand Air Force lost their lives, was made by the Minister of Defence, the Hon. F. Jones, to-day. He said tlie Court had found that the aircraft and its engine were serviceable liefore the flight and that there was no failure of the controls or any other part of the structure in flight. The accident, he said, was due solely to an error of judgment. The aircraft lost flying speed when coming out of a turn and did not have sufficient height to recover from the resulting spin.
