Empire Air Scheme In Canada. ABSORB OVER 38,000. British Official Wireless. (Received 12.30 p.m.) KL'GBY, January 17. It is estimated in Canada that the £ 120,000,000 Empire air training scheme will, when in full operation, absorb a personnel of at least 30,000 airmen, 2680 officers, nearly 5000 civilians, and over 1000 maintenance staff. Nearly 70 instructional schools will be needed to give the fullest training to the personnel in every branch of military aviation.
