BECOME OFFICERS.

TWO ENGINEER N.C.O.'S. Promotion to commissioned rank is announced in the case of two engineer non-commissioned officers. Lance-Ser-geant J. R. M. Hector is appointed second lieutenant and posted to the 7th Field Company, X.Z.E., and LanceSergeant P. B. Wildey is appointed second lieutenant and posted to the reinforcements, 6tli Field Company, N.Z.E.

Both are 26 years of age awl have engineering experience in civil life. Lieutenant Hector was trained at the Wellington Technical College and graduated from the University, 8.E., in 1935. He lias been with the Public Works Department for the past 41 years in the Gisborne district. Lieutenant Wildey is an Otago Boys' High School old boy and, after four years at the School of Mines, engaged in mining on the West Coast.
