WHITE BUTTERFLY.
The turmoil that exists to-day has transferred most of our thoughts over-' seas, and rightly so. Home affairs take second place. Previously the Press wa* inundated with letters urging that stringent measures should be adopted to eliminate the white butterfly pest. The Agriculture Department consulted its scientists, and, as we are all aware, a parasite was bred and liberated to deal with this cabbage eater. Personally. I think that the parasite I* doing its work well. And beiaj still in the festive season. I think the Agriculture Department is to be congratulated on the fine work it has done. J.H.
