BEEN A MIRAGE.
PERMANENT PfeACE.
CHURCH ENCAMPMENT
"Am we stand on the threshold of a new year, we are conscious that peace, permanent peace, has been a mirage," said Pastor H. G. Moulds, the president of the Conference, at the opening meeting of the Seventh Day Adventist encampment last evening, when he gave a welcome to delegates, including Pastor W. A. Spicer, field secretary of the General Conference, Pastor A. G. Stewiart, vice-president of the Australasian Union Conference, and Pastor W. J. Westerman, field secretary of the Australasian Union Conference. In the course of his address Pastor Moulds said that there was fear, dread and uncertainty everywhere, but days of crisis of the world would be, for the Church of God, days of victory and conquest. During the encampment various meetings will be held and a large choir will be under the leadership of Mr. J. A. Lawson, of Sydney.
