J The Matson liner Mariposa, which arrived yesterday morning from San Francisco, via way ports, sailed shortly lafter noon to-day in continuation of her vo yage to Sydney and Melbourne. In addition to 347 passengers for Australia she took 190 from Auckland. The vessel is due at Sydney on Tuesday morning. The Union Company's steamer Waimarino arrived this morning from Wellington and South Island ports and berthed at Prince's wharf. She will sail next Friday for Wellington. The left Grey mouth this morning for Auckland and will arrive at 10 a.m. on |Tuesday. Kauri is due from Westport at 8 p.m. on Monday and will pay off for the holidays. Waiana left the Bluff yesterday for Auckland, via Timaru, Lyttelton and Wellington. She due ihere on Monday week. Margaret W. arrived from East Coast ports this morning and berthed at King's wharf. She sails again next Wednesday. (F. Co-op.) Port Tauranga, which arrived from Whangarei on Thursday, is at the Central wharf, and will not sail until the New -Year for Gis borne. (N.S.S. Co.). Kiwitea is due early next week from Westport, and will pay off on arrival until the New Year. (U.S.S. Co.). Kapiwi sailed last evening for Gisborne direct, and is due to return next Thursday, sailing next day for Gisborne. (A.G.F.).
