SOUTHERN EXCHANGES.
ANNUAL ELECTIONS HELD. At the annual election of officers of the Christchurch Stock Exchange Mr. F. E. Graham was a.ppointed chairman. The former chairman, Mr. H. Kitson, who had held the office for six yeans, did not seek re-election, and was elected vice-chairman. The following members of the Exchange were elected to tha committee:—Messrs. R. Browning. Warren Fisher, E. H. S. Hamilton and E. W. J. Million. Mr. Harman Reeves was elected chairman of the Dunedin Exchange and Messrs. E. R. Smith, H. K. Poppelwell, C. Penman, W. S. Dawson and J. R. Laidlaw were elected to the committee. NEW YORK EXCHANGE. \ (Received 1 p.m.) NEW YORK, December 22. Turnover on the New York Stock Exchange to-day was 720,(500 shares.
