GIFT AFTERNOON.

A gift afternoon wan given by Mrs. H. N. Hall, of Everslefgli Hoad, Takapuna, the gueet of honour being His* Sunny Mowbray, whose engagement to the Rev. B. D. 0. Coleman was recently announced. Amongst the gueat« were members of th« Mothers' Unio~>, Bays water, and representative# of five other denomlna* tione, who had come in contact with Mr. Coleman during his year of office in Takapuna. Miss Pamela Lyon presented Miss Mowbray with a 4>ouquet. Mrs. Hutching* and Mtos Mowbray won the competitions. Aaetoting Mrs. Hall were Me*dames Hounsell, McXally and Whittingham. The guest of- honour received many useful and dainty gifts.
