CHRISTMAS WEDDING.

Bride Wears A Blue Lace Gown.

CHATER—ARCHEY

Pale blue and white hydrangeas decorated St. Marks' Church this afternoon when Mies Gwyneth Jocelyn Archey, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Archey, of Parnell, was married to Mr. Cecil Graham Chater, younger son of Mr. and Mrs. Noel Chater, of Tauranga. The wedding ceremony was performed by Canon P. Houghton and the organist was Mr. H. Luscombe. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a charming gown of ice blue lace over taffetas and net in deeper shades of blue. The frock was cut on simple lines with a very full flaring skirt and with it the bride wore a email lace coatee fashioned with long sleeves, a small Peter Pan collar, and a flared basque at the waist line. For her headdress the bride wore a small blue lace cap fashioned in the Tudor style and she carried a bouquet of love-in-the-mist. The bridesmaid, Miss Jocelyn Hesketh, wae dressed in a frock of ice blue taffeta several shades deeper than that of the bride. The gown was made with a full circular skirt and the small puffed sleeves were finished at the shoulder line with bows of the same material. In her hair she wore flowers of blue stiffened net and she carried flowers to match. Mr. Lloyd Heeketh attended the bridegroom as best man and the ushers at the church were Mr. John Mowbray and Mr. Peter Mowbray. The Reception. Following the wedding ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride's parents in Laurie Avenue, Parnell. Mrs. Archey, mother of the bride, received her guests wearing a blue and white patterned 'chiffon gown. With it she wore a navy lace hat swathed with multi-coloured ostrich feathers. Mrs. Noel Chater, mother of the bridegroom, was wearing a full length frock of mauve lame with accessories to tone. Mrs. W. Gee, grandmother of the bride, was wearing a frock of black lace with black accessories, and Miss Alison Archey wore a light navy suit with a blue blouse.
