Attractive Wedding.
WINSTONE—BASKETT.
LOVELY SILVER GOWN,
At St. Mary'e Cathedral, Parnell, the wedding took place yesterday afternoon of Mina Melva Phoebe Cecilia Baskett ami Mr. Alan Harbutt Winatone. The bride 'w the elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. G. Baskett, of Long Drive, St. Hrlier'a Bay, and the bridegroom is the younger son of Mr. and Mrs. frank M. Winstone, of Claude Road, Epeom. The Bc-v. Jμ E. Cartridge officiated at the ceremony, and an aunt of the brideproom, Mrs. Percy Winetone, played the organ music. The bride was given away by her father. Her beautiful gown was of Parisian silver lame, brocaded with a design of wedding bells. Ganging at the shoulders and at the wstiet gave fullness to the- bodice, which was caught in front by a full-length panel, w ; iich came to a point to .neet the V-neckline. The full panelled skirt fell in soft folds from the hipe, forming a very long oval train. A coronet of orango blossom held the bride's veil of filmy white tulle, and her sheath bouquet was of Chrietmae liliee. The Attendants. In attendance as bridesmaids were Miss -Margaret Baekott (eister of the bride), Miss Dorothy Winetone (sister of the bridegroom), Mise Joyce Winetono (cousin of the bridegroom) and Miss Freda Massey (cousin of the bride). They were dressed alike in dainty frocks of blush pink eatinetriped sheer, with very full circular skirts, nnd elim-ntting bodice*. Each bodice was finished with a V-ehaped niched vest, outlined with looping which continued around the back of the neck, and the puffed eleevee were also edged with looping. They carried shower bou(|tiets of pink carnations and sweet peas, and blue delphiniums, and wore topkuote of the same flowers. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr. Wilfred Winetone, as best man, and Mr. Ronald Bn«kett (brother of the bride) as groomsman. The ushers were Mr. Donald Winstone, Mr. Newton Lewieham, Mr. Glen Johnston and Mr. Jack Hooper. A reception was held after the ceremony at the home of the bride's parents. Hydrangeas were effective decorations in the marquee which had been erected on the lawn, and in the reception rooms were gladioli, delphiniums and Christmas lilies. Mrs. Baskett received the guests wearing a long frock of black ninon and lace, and a silver fox cape. Her picture list was of black crinoline straw and she carried a white bouquet. Mrs. Winetone, who assisted her, wore a frock of French georgette, patterned in rose, and a hat of fine black straw. Her bouquet wa» in rose toninge.
