CHRISTMAS PARTY.

ST. ANDREW'S AUXILIARY.

The St. Andrew's Ladies' Auxiliary held a Christmas party in the Fabian Club rooms. The president, Mrs. Black, presided and welcomed members and frie-nds, also members of kindred societies. A special "welcome was given to Mrs. Tennock, of Glasgow, and Mrs. Brennan, of Galashiels, Scotland, who recentl- arrived in Auckland. The hall was gaily decorated with balloons, lanterns and a Christmas tree. Scotch haggis was served by the presiafter it had been piped in by Miss Mavis Ward, Mrs. J. Shiels reciting "To a Haggis." A varied programme was much enjoyed, humorous sketches being given by Miss E. Casley, accordion selections by Miss E. Casley, accorsongs and duets by Mrs. T. McKnight, Mrs. A. Steel and Miss J. N. Lewis. Dances and reels were given by the pupils of Miss Mavis Ward, who played the bagpipe accompaniments.
